Artist Bio

Salena Felicien is a vibrant, self-taught Christian artist from the small Caribbean island of  St. Lucia, specializing in surreal portraiture. Her work is inspired by Genesis 16:13-“the God who sees”and explores the intersection of faith, human fragility and spiritual depth. Through expressive faces, she reveals beauty rising from ashes.

Born with an infirm right hand, what many would see as a limitation became one of Salena’s greatest blessings. From an early age, she pursued drawing, building resilience through adversity. With the support of her family, a devoted art teacher who became her mentor and a deepening relationship with God, her artistic journey continued to flourish.

Salena works primarily in charcoal, drawn to its raw honesty against white paper. She is captivated by its ability to bring visions to life and communicate emotion in a way that is deeply soul-stirring.

Each piece invites viewers into moments of reflection, restoration and hope.
